Via Social Media

One way that Accelo uses video on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin is by including short GIFs - no longer than 4 seconds - on our social media posts. By doing so, we see a dramatic increase in the number of engagements - including shares, clicks, and comments - which in turn boosts awareness for our brand and content.

Another way we use video on social media, especially Facebook, is by doing live videos when at events or making an announcement. Why? Because it's unedited, unfiltered and raw content that no one has seen before. Hence why people are so compelled to watch it; it’s new.

Hot tip: When using video on social media, make sure your ‘autoplay’ setting is activated so that your videos, vines, or giphys automatically start playing on scroll. This way, people will be more inclined to stop on your content and engage with it - because no effort is required and we as humans are curious by nature. Having subtitles is also key considering 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound.

Probably the most engaging and exciting way we use video at Accelo is to promote company culture, both internally and to prospective hires.

We’ve created a series of internal videos like ‘why do you love working at Accelo’ so that outsiders know what to expect from us and our company. It’s a great way for us to personify the brand in a way that’s more lighthearted, relevant and credible. I mean wouldn’t you rather watch a video than read a thousand reviews?

We’ve found that posting shorter versions of these videos on social media drives a lot of traffic back to our website. It’s also a great way of getting your employees to advocate for your brand because they’ll more than likely want to share a video they’re featured in.
